Open Washington

An open educational resources (OER) network dedicated to providing accessible pathways for faculty to learn, find, use and apply OER in any instructional setting. It provides step-by-step instruction in self-paced modules to help faculty integrate open educational resources into their teaching practice. The site also offers a categorized search guide for all types of OER and includes video testimonials from faculty sharing their experiences using OER.

OER and Low-Cost Labeling Policies

OER & Low-Cost Labeling Implementation Guide

Two state coding policies requiring the specific labeling of courses that use open educational resources and low-cost materials respectively. These labels appear as course attributes in the class search page which allows students to filter for courses that specifically use OER or Low-Cost materials only. This helps our students make more informed choices at the time of registration.

Open Attribution Builder

Open Washinton's Open Attribution Builder

The primary function of this application is to help users quickly cite open material they find; as they fill out the form, the attribution is automatically generated for them.
