What non-profits should be thinking about during the Coronavirus pandemic
Short Description:
This eBook summarizes practical considerations non-profits should take into account in approaching the Covid-19 crisis. From strategic responses to workforce adaptation to emerging from the pandemic, we address key concerns and provide guidance to organizations serving individuals and communities in need. This eBook is a companion to the more detailed "Practical Considerations for Non-profits During Covid-19" live webinar series Snowflake conducted in May and June 2020.
Long Description:
Covid-19 has changed the game for non-profits. From client demands to workplace changes to funding limitations, nothing is the same. In the face of the many challenges the Coronavirus pandemic brings, people still rely on the non-profit community as much—and often more—than they ever did. As such, organizations need to quickly and effectively adapt to this new environment.
Much of the guidance put out for non-profits has focused on funding—for example, government and foundation grant loan opportunities like the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). Not nearly as many resources have been made available about how to navigate the strategic and operational challenges presented by the Coronavirus. But money only goes so far absent other responsive changes.
To help fill this gap, Snowflake and the Non-profit Alliance of the Northern Shenandoah Valley (NANSV) presented a live, six-part virtual series to educate non-profits about practical considerations in adapting to Covid-19 conditions in May and June 2020. This eBook is a brief summary of that series, intended as a primer for those who could not attend and a reference for those who did participate.
