Acceso is a complete, interactive curriculum for intermediate-level learners of Spanish. The materials on the site are provided freely to the public and are intended as a replacement for commercial textbooks, which are generally ill-suited to the learning outcomes now considered crucial to successful language study. These materials are supplemented by an online workbook built on the MySpanishLab platform of Pearson Education, Inc., as well as detailed lesson plans, rubrics for the evaluation of student work, and reliable instruments for measuring student progress and learning outcomes. ¡Contéctate! Intermediate Spanish II is a free, open educational resource Spanish textbook created for an Intermediate Spanish II course at Pacific University (Oregon). The book focuses on the continuing development of communication skills in Spanish while highlighting and encouraging student connections to each other, to their local communities and to the greater world. Activities are student-centered while also incorporating topics and texts useful for understanding several important contemporary issues in Spanish-speaking regions (Latin America, Spain and the United States) such as wellness, sustainability, and migration. The book’s pedagogy is inspired by and adheres to the most recent best practices guidelines published by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL).

 This resource was designed for a Spanish student who has taken at least two semesters of college-level Spanish, two years of High-School Spanish or has some intermediate knowledge of Spanish. Its content can be useful (and adapted to) more advanced students, even heritage speakers who would like to improve their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills as well as explore Spanish, Latin and Hispanic Culture.This online resource can be used as a textbook for an entire one-semester college course. It is comprised entirely of free, open-educational resources which are available to anyone. These include SpanishDict.com, StudySpanish.com, The Spanish Experiment, YouTube and much more.The content is practical, authentic and engaging, but more importantly, it allows students to acquire much more than basic Spanish skills. It provides students with oppotunities to learn about Spanish, Latin and Hispanic culture and geography, as well as acquainting the students with Spanish as it is actually spoken in many different countries.The textbook is divided into 15 modules with each module centering around specific themes and grammatical structures. Even though grammar is essential to learning any language, in this course speaking the language, strategies for learning languages and culture are just as (or even more) important than extensive grammar drills. 

Salón de clase, Intermediate Spanish for Education Professionals is a comprehensive intermediate Spanish open access textbook with reading, listening, speaking, and writing practice for students who have an interest and/or intend to pursue a career in the field of Education (teachers, administrators, counselors, psychologists, social workers, support staff members, paraprofessionals, among others). This Open Education Resource (OER) aims to explore the role of Spanish language and Spanish speakers in the American education system, as well as to improve student communicative abilities in Spanish. Salón de clase integrates interactive activities (h5p), video interviews with Spanish speakers to present authentic materials, and topics related to education.
