Pharmaceutical companies, for example, use real world data for various purposes—from the early stages of development to post-launch. One hot topic focuses on using real world data and real world evidence to support regulatory decision making to deliver drugs faster to patients with high medical needs. This has been the subject of active discussion in the US, Europe, Japan and other countries, leading to regulatory reform and improvement of the implementation environment. However, there are barriers to the regulatory acceptance and use of both real world data and real world evidence. Real world data should be evaluated not only for quality but also for data relevance. Healthy Communities in Fulton County, Illinois (HCFCI) was a collaborative project with the primary goal of improving access to health information to enable the public to make informed decisions about their health. The project included a web portal, community health fairs, and public librarian training. Project materials are being shared as a possible model for other community health education outreach projects.

In this lesson, students will research how famous families came to be. They’ll work with their peers to uncover details about fertilization, gestation, and birth, as well as other aspects of the famous family’s story. Students will then demonstrate (orally or written) their understanding of the concepts from the past two lessons. They will also reflect on the role celebrities play in shaping our thoughts, feelings and behaviors around reproduction and families.

This video introduce the student to the UNFPA, its role as global health organization and provides concrete examples of the type of work undertaken by UNFPA. A particular emphasis upon modalities in support of government institutions. One of the most important mandates of UNFPA relate to ensure that people have access to appropriate family planning.
