This workshop targets full time and part time faculty, in order to teach self-care skills that aim to reduce stress and reduce the potential for burnout.This workshop will teach specific strategies that faculty members can use to increase wellness, maintain well-being, and retain a sense of emotional health.  These strategies can also be used in the classroom to enhance student well-being.  Faculty members who experience emotional rejuvenation can bring a renewed sense of energy into the classroom, in turn providing students with an enhanced educational experience.Participants in this course will read material from websites, view video clips, participate in online discussion boards, and develop a self-care plan.Participants in this workshop will be able to:·         Identify and describe the importance of faculty well-being;·         Describe the link between teacher health and student benefit;·         Describe well-being and various definitions of health;·         Discuss the key elements of well-being from these highly regarded authors on the topic:o   Martin Seligman -  Flourisho   Dan Beuttner - The Blue Zones·         Identify the warning signs of burnout·         Identify strategies for staying fresh on the job·         Understand the concept of nurturing/caring for the various aspects of the educator’s whole person·         Develop a personal care plan to address the seven selves, according to the whole person model Over a five week period, participants will spend 2 hours per week reading materials, participating in online discussions, and completing a self-care/wellness plan.

In this collection, we are sharing the various assessment, design, and implementation materials created by a team at James Madison University to create faculty development opportunities to foster inclusive excellence. The intention of sharing these materials under creative commons license is to provide other organizations or institutions a starting place to engage in a valuable and deep process of identifying the needs of specific groups of faculty (in this case faculty from a public institution of higher education in the USA) in terms of supporting their knowledge, skills, and abilities to integrate practices and content that foster inclusive excellence. Our team built upon DOERS3's OER in Tenure & Promotion Matrix to help faculty and staff advocate for the inclusion of open educational practices (OEP) in promotion, tenure, and faculty evaluation practices at their institutions. Below, you can find our main document, directions for interacting with the text, and handouts you can use or adapt for your own advocacy work.

In this section, you and your team will engage in a Landscape Analysis to uncover key structures and supports that can guide your work to support Accessibility in OER. You may or may not answer all of these questions, but this is an offering.

Module home primarily starts with introduction and pronunciation of individual names cultivating scopes for interaction and sharing views. Breaker room discussions  generate initial thoughts, prior experiences and storytelling among learners from all walks of life. Each section of the module has relevant scholarly readings along with educational YouTube videos to facilitate the learners. Besides, discussion assignments, interactive sessions, in every module one homogenous group learner get the chance to present intercultural sessions with another homogenous group. For the final project requirement learners will design 5 online modules embedded with CRT online learning to demonstrate their application of knowledge. Finally, assessment questions provided for interactive interview and certification.  

This series of workshops provides skills to pediatric physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists and other health professionals that will improve their ability care for pediatric patients who are dying in the hospital. We have developed three workshops which each take about 90 minutes. These workshops feature videos of simulated doctor/patient interactions, worksheets, self-evaluations, and more. We are working this year on interactive modules that will be useful for self-study and reinforcement of key knowledge and skills.
