This is a set of documents intended to teach 80% of the Qur'an to learners. The philosophy is that since many of the words in the Qur'an are repeated, 80% of it can be learned quickly and easily by knowing what to focus on. Included are lists of vocabulary separated into genre, such as pronouns and ways to say 'no', verbs and verb conjugation charts, grammar charts detailing active and passive participles, and more. Many of the documents are in PDF as well as in Excel so that changes can be made to the templates, i.e. translation into other languages if desired.

Al-Bab is a portal website designed to introduce non-Arabs to Arab culture by providing links to news sources, country profiles, articles, and a blog on Middle East current events. There are also specific links related to learning Arabic: dictionaries, language classes, textbooks, and other information pertaining to the study of Arabic. A free e-book, The Birth of Modern Yemen, is available for download.

This dictionary (published in 1899) is intended for the use of students. Due to its publication date, it corresponds more to classical Arabic or older formal Arabic rather than to MSA. It is organized by root with derivative forms of words are included under their three-letter root.

Aratools is an online dictionary that includes over 80,000 stems to translate from Arabic to English and from English into Arabic. The output provides a root-based translation for words and will provide the word's root and conjugation if it is a verb, as well as prefix and suffix morphology. A highly rated iOS app can be purchased to access the dictionary in mobile format.

The Bing translator can translate to and from 39 different languages. The program can translate words, phrases, idioms, and complete sentences with a high degree of accuracy. An audio component is included for English words. The most commonly used translated word is given for translated words and phrases, i.e. 'fill' for ___ instead of 'work'.

Students become novice lexicographers as they explore recent new entries to the dictionary, learn the process of writing entries for the Oxford English Dictionary, and write a new entry themselves.

The CJK Dictionary Institute was originally established for Chinese, Japanese, and Korean (CJK) resources, but has been expanded in recent years to other languages, including Arabic. The many Arabic resources available through the CJK Dictionary Institute include databases of proper nouns, transliteration programs, dictionaries, databases, articles related to transcription and translation issues, and more. The institute also provides software developers with dictionary data as well as consulting services.

This online dictionary, entirely in Arabic, gives Arabic synonyms and antonyms of words entered into the dictionary, helping to expand the vocabulary of anyone using it. This Arabic-English dictionary of the Qur'an is not compiled in the traditional, alphabetical way, but rather by chapter and word order in the Qur'an. The list is available both for viewing online as well as via downloadable PDF documents. Prepositions and attached pronouns are included in the list alongside full words. The word list doesn't include every single word in a particular verse if that word has been mentioned before, i.e. ____ is only listed once in the Surat al-Fatiha vocabulary despite being in the chapter twice. First published in the 19th century, the Arabic Đ English Lexicon by Edward William Lane remains one of the most widely used resources for classical Arabic translation. Entries are based on the root system and are exhaustive, often including examples of the use of the word in classical texts. This online version allows the scholar to utilize the 8 volume dictionary by searching page by page or by downloading each volume in turn. The technology does not allow the user to flip through pages; they must be viewed individually.
