Encoding Communication is an openly licesed image from Wikimedia commons liceensed under CC BY-SA 3.0. It focuses on the process of communication as promotion of undersatanding through shared symbols, context, and feedback. There is an indirect pointer to possible barrriers to effective communication (noise) emanating from various sources.

“Companion Guide to English for Office Administration” is a simple digital guide or handbook in pdf format, enriched with interactive links, which is liable to be included in a learning management system such as Moodle or Google Classroom.This e-handbook is addressed to Office Administration students taking their first year of Vocational Education and Training.  The content is distributed into 5 units which focus on topics and situations related to the professional field of administrative assistants, secretaries, etc. Each of these units includes a number of communicative tasks closely connected to Business Administration and Management.

Students will read and compare and contrast the US Declaration of Indepence and the Declaration of Indepence of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.

This lesson focuses on comparing and ordering fractions in ways that encourage deeper understanding of’ ‘number sense’ by supporting learners to consider different techniques to order and compare fractions with different numerators and denominators. The three techniques covered in this lesson are those used to compare fractions with like numerators or denominators, unlike numerators or denominators and by comparing to a 1/2 benchmark. Emphasis are placed on the two latter techniques. Activities and practice exercises involve real-world problems including sales discounts, cooking measurements and school score reports.

Comparison/contrast essays help you learn really efficiently, because they present information in a way our brains like. When we see something new, we want to know how it's similar to something we already know about, and how it's different, too. Let's say that you need to buy a car. When you look at the different models, you'll compare what's similar and different between the models. When a cell phone manufacturer comes up with a new model, they tell you what great features the phone has that people have liked before (the similarities) and what fantastic new features it has that help it stand out (the differences).

This assignment exposes students to data on economic growth and development as commonly measured by per capita GDP and the Human Development Index (HDI) for 100 countries of the world. There is a big debate about how good an indicator HDI is compared to GDP per capita as a measure of development.
