In this module you will learn the basics of Medical Math and how to calculate basic medication dosages. These files are SCORM packages and can be easily uploaded to your Learning Management System (LMS), such as Blackboard or Desire2Learn. If you want to view or use the files without an LMS, download the files to your computer, extract (unzip) the file, open the extracted folder, and click to open the story.html file. The booster or test will open in your browser window. If used on your LMS, for the booster, the user will be given a score of complete or incomplete; for the pre and post-tests, the user will be given a numerical score. This scoring functionality and completion data is only available if used on an LMS. The SCORM packages are complete and not available for editing. If you would like to include additional information, consider adding the content before or after the booster on your LMS.

Metodología de la Investigación Social: recursos, guías y herramientas digitales (Social Research Methodology: resources, guides and digital tools) is an Open Educational Resource developed by communication students at the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México during the 2024A school year.

The objective of this site is to provide a collection of accessible and high quality educational resources on various aspects of social science methodology. This site is designed to serve as a support tool for both students and researchers seeking to deepen their understanding of methodological techniques and approaches used in the social sciences. This work is part of the Social Research Methodology course, taught at the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences.

These Guided Notes are note-taking frameworks for Microeconomics, corresponding to OpenStax Microeconomics 2e (or the corresponding chapters of OpenStax Principles of Economics 2e). They contain the structure for students to actively engage with the material while in lecture or while reading.

The Mima mounds are small, irregularly spaced hills, described by some as “soil pimples” because they are piles of silt, sand, and pebbles.Scientists still don't know what created the Mima mounds. These resources will invite students to develop their own hypotheses, evaluate the existing evidence, and construct an explanation.Start with the "Mima mounds educator guide" to learn about the available resources, alignment to learning standards, and opportunities for modification and extension. The educator guide also includes student worksheets to guide inquiry and exploration. The attached "Mima mounds booklet" was created by the Washington Geologic Survey, within the Washington Department of Natural Resources. It is an illustrated guide to the mounds and the hypotheses about what formed them. Model Diplomacy is the Council on Foreign Relations’ (CFR) free multimedia simulation program. It engages students through role-play and case studies to understand the issues, institutions, and challenges of creating and implementing U.S. foreign policy. It is an adaptable interactive resource that promotes independent research, critical thinking, effective communication, and collaborative approaches to problem solving. Model Diplomacy places students in the position of policymakers deliberating hypothetical scenarios based on real issues. Content is informed by CFR experts.

Recently, you may have noticed a lot of big news coming out of Indigenous America, from protests at Standing Rock to the return of wild bison to efforts to bring home ancestral remains and artifacts. But when you talk to the movers and shakers, the conversation often comes back around to a bitter history – the Plains Indian Wars. In Season 6 of the Modern West Podcast, we hear the story from the point of view of the Plains tribes themselves. We discover how raw that story still is, and yet how communities are coming together to heal it.

Chemistry students are often required to convert moles to grams and vice versa. Part of this also includes atomic mass, atomic weight, and atomic number. A problem is the understanding that a mole is just the name of a specific quantity, just as a dozen is a name for having 12 of something. Just as it is easy to determine the count of how many eggs you have if there 12.5 dozen, so it is easy to convert a given number of moles of a substance into the corresponding weight in grams. This paper shows mole to gram conversions, and vise versa, is actually just a routine a "conversion of units" problem.

 The course seeks to familiarize the learners with the possibilities involved in the management of diabetes and hypertension. This course is to make medical knowledge simpler and accessible for common people. This will help reduce anxiety about the diseases. Reduction in the incidence of threatening complications like cerebral stroke, heart attack, kidney failure, blindness,  diabetic foot and amputations is the goal we need to achieve. The health-aware person, a learner of this course, can be a patient itself, a relative, a neighbor, or anyone from society. Some basic education and a will to help the patient is all that is required.
