Unit 1 covers the introduction and about the drawings I have my student do before introducing blueprint reading. Since I only have a short time to cover blueprint this gives them a little better understanding of what blueprints are and how they are used.
Unit 2 is a short video covering basic concepts of blueprint reading,
Unit 3 can be used for lectures over blueprinting. It uses the website WikiHow and it has three parts with several sections in each. It has diagram included with each section, It also explains various places one can learn more about blueprint reading,

Students will participate in Book Club by choosing groups of 3-5 students and a book at their reading level according to their interest, or the subject currently being studied.  They will decide together how to split the book into three or more sections to finish in four weeks or less.  They will prepare and write out a discussion role for each meeting (Word Wizard, Connector, Summarizer, Questioner, or Passage Person).  This plan is written for either in class, blended, or remote learning.

Book Review of a Popular Science Book

Each student selects a popular science book on a geoscience topic of interest to them, finds two book reviews of that book, and writes a book review that includes some description of the book as well as some commentary and review. Each student also gives a short (three-four minute) oral presentation of their review to their classmates (either stand-alone or with one Powerpoint slide).
