Bumble Bee Watch is a Citizen Science Project provided through the partnerships of The Xerces Society, the University of Ottawa, Wildlife Preservation Canada, BeeSpotter, The Natural History Museum, London, and the Montreal Insectarium. Business Administration: Eco-Innovation & Social Entrepreneurship Course Materials and Syllabus

BA 278. Eco-Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship.

Introduces the social, economic and environmental pillars of sustainability, and social entrepreneurship within the business environment with a focus on global, domestic and internal business methods, practices and policies. Investigates sustainable business, social innovation and intrapreneurship evolution and trends. Includes opportunities to interact with local social entrepreneurs, analyze initiatives, and develop market-based solutions to social problems. Examines individual and corporate decision-making and best practices. Includes team projects and a community-based service learning experience.

COURSE OUTCOMES
Upon successful completion of BA 278, the student will be able to:
1. Understand the fundamental definitions, concepts and methods of corporate social responsibility,
environmental sustainability, social entrepreneurism and intrapreneurism.
2. Critically examine the complex and interconnected relationship between human economic behavior and
the environment through a lens of sustainability and “the triple bottom line” (people, planet, profit).
3. Build an awareness of the impacts of environmental sustainability issues and policies on communities of
diverse backgrounds, on the local, regional, national and international level, in order to interact with
sensitivity, respect and a sense of responsibility to others and to the future.
4. Analyze claims about sustainable business and social entrepreneurial practices and policies critically.
5. Develop and apply writing, systems-thinking and analytical thinking skills effectively in the workplace.

Ethics is an integral part of our world, both personal and business. This book consists ot 10 critical chapters in ethics. This book covers content for one semester length and contains various case studies, videos and lecture content for easy understanding of content. 

The Iowa Clearinghouse for Work-Based Learning is a virtual tool that will expand access to high-quality, in-depth work-based learning in rural and urban communities for all students, especially traditionally underrepresented students, with a focus on high demand STEM fields and careers. School-business partnerships will be created and developed through projects that make learning more relevant and authentic for students as well as also meeting the needs of the businesses.

O caderno de práticas pedagógicas interdisciplinares foi desenvolvido com o intuito de contribuir com uma ferramenta didática do processo educativo das ciências ambientais proporcionando conhecimentos ligados às habilidades propostas pela BNCC (BRASIL, 2017). A interdisciplinaridade relaciona várias disciplinas com o objetivo de enriquecer o conhecimento entre as mais diversas áreas e se justifica pela necessidade de se reorganizar e reagrupar os campos do saber para não perder a relevância e a significação dos problemas e a busca por soluções. Possibilita, também, a formação de um sujeito mais aberto, flexível, solidário, democrático e crítico. Mais além, reúne
estudos complementares de diversos especialistas em um contexto de estudo de âmbito mais coletivo.

Este produto educacional denominado caderno pedagógico destina-se a profissionais da saúde, educação e áreas afins, que atuam no atendimento ao público idoso. Foi produzido com a colaboração de idosos do Programa Universidade da Pessoa Idosa-UNITERCI, sendo constituído de atividades práticas e teóricas, realizadas na Universidade Federal do Pará, Campus Universitário do Guamá, em Belém. O material, um conjunto de atividade física realizada ao ar livre utilizando uma sequência didática no formato de caderno pedagógico. Leva o idoso a experimentar a expressão corporal em contato com a natureza, assim como busca promover a qualidade de vida e a sustentabilidade na relação com o meio ambiente.

Providing all the step-by-step on how this project was carried out in partnership with the college, since the meeting with the high school board, until the analysis of the quality standards of the compost generated. The work also has some suggestions to assist other teachers in the process of implanting a composter as an educational product at their educational institution.

Students learn how to annotate texts through the process of C.A.T.C.H. Then, they will use their annotations to make meaning by inferring/interpreting and evaluating/making judgments. Through this 10 1/2 minute video instruction and three handouts students will learn and practice an easy to remember 3-step process to critical thinking that will make their learning visible and help them discover how and why they can make meaning out of everything they read, see, and hear. Now they will have ready answers for discussions, questions, essay-writing, and quizzes.

This is an adaption of Angelo and Cross' book Classroom Assessment Techniques: A Handbook for College Teachers. The book provides fifty practical and innovative assessment techniques for use in the classroom. This adaptation lists the fifty techniques and provides a map to the current tools available in the online learning management system Blackboard. With this tool, faculty can identify how they would like to assess students, then choose the best tool for the task from the available options in Blackboard.
