This speaking activity allows students to role play a customer and waiter scenario in a restaurant. Warm-up includes a fun Pictionary play-doh sculpting game before moving on to restaurant phrases and then finally the role play. The wrap-up questions use the present perfect tense to ask the students what they ordered, how it tasted, and how much it cost during the role play.

This lesson will prepare beginning English language learners who plan to take a U.S. driving test. They will acquire vocabulary to be able to understand and/or to give directions as well as the meaning of road and/or traffic signs.

The Global OER Remix Challenge is an opportunity for educators to find, use, remix, and share open educational resources (OER) that bring science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) in their teaching. The Challenge will take place during the 2013-2014 school year and include participants from around the world. It is facilitated by ISKME and uses OER Commons as a platform to share and organize resources and publish remixed curriculum.

This is a STEM unit that can be used in conjunction with ITEEA EbD TEEMS Grade 2 Our Environment, Our Health Unit. In this activity, students will review by talking about things revolving around the university, family, and vacations, using memorized vocabulary. Students will be interviewed by each other based on scenarios provided. Students will ask and answer questions entirely in Spanish.

In this lesson, students will be able to view and analyze both good and bad interview techniques. The learners are people who's education may have been interrupted for various reasons. The lesson will provide practical exercises on using the techniques presented. Learners will be exposed to proper and improper interview techniques.

We will be using HHMI labs about lactose intolerance to discuss genetic variation and inheritance with our Lucile Packard Hospital School students.

In this activity, students will have the opportunity to create a campaign commercial to run as the new president of Boise State. They will practice using vocabulary related to governments and actions that political figures take. Students will be able to discuss preferences relating to politics and government.
