The Access to Justice Legal Apps Challenge Modules intend to get participants to think of new ways to use technology to better increase access to justice, and to ultimately design a concept for a legal app to address an access to justice issue.

The set of five modules are intended to operate as a “mini-course” for Ontario high-school students. Each module contains background information on the topic to help instructors prepare for the lessons. The background information has sources to support instructors and students delving further into topics of interest. The modules are designed so that they can be used in either an in-person or virtual learning environment.

This Module provides an overview of accommodations for students with disabilities (est. completion time: 1 hour).

The resources in this Module offer helpful tips on setting up the physical aspects of your classroom and will introduce types of equipment used by students with visual disabilities (est. completion time: 1 hour).

This Module presents information on legal requirements and accommodations for testing students with disabilities, in addition to highlighting considerations for interpreting performance data for this population (est. completion time: 2 hours).

The purpose of activity reflections is to encourage graduate students to become involved in academic and professional communities. After students have learned to support a thesis with topic sentence claims and textual evidence, they need to learn how to analyze the evidence for their reader. This worksheet will help students compare evidence from a courtroom trial, to how they will analyze the evidence they use in their writing.

Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) remain an integral component of marketing. Therefore, understanding how companies effectively communicate and interact with customers (including potential customers) creates the foundation you (student) need to have a firm understanding of how marketing communication manifest in practice which is key to the development of effective marketing skills. Such an understanding will help you succeed in your marketing career. Henceforth, this course is designed to help you start your journey towards your desired entry into marketing careers.

This unit begins by inviting students to tell the story of their community using artifacts from Washington's history. This allows them to reflect on shared values as well as how people have organized to advocate for those values. Then, students explore how rights are established in their community by analyzing the Washington State Constitution, the Puyallup Tribe Constitution, and the Treaty of Medicine Creek. Next, students investigate four different historic examples of how people have advocated for their rights and values in their community and choose one to research in further depth. In the final phase of the unit, student teams develop an advocacy campaign for a right that is currently being challenged. They conduct research on an issue of their choice, create and execute an action plan, and participate in an advocacy fair to campaign for change in their community. Finally, students draw on what they've learned to answer the unit driving question: "Why do people advocate for issues in their community?"

This series of courses and learning modules are designed to offer a two-quarter entry-level employment preparation or college readiness program targeting either employment in aerospace and advanced manufacturing or continuing education in a manufacturing program. The pre-employment program includes applied mathematics, blueprint reading, computer skills, manufacturing basics, English-as-a-second language for aerospace, and shop safety. OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certification student handbooks, and a course outline for integrating WorkKeys into the program are included. An outline of assembly skills in drilling and riveting illustrate a specific entry level employment opportunity.
