Short Description:
The purpose of this book with authored chapters is to build capacity for cyberbullying research and prevention in India. In the book, we synthesize global scientific knowledge on cyberbullying risk and prevention and digital safety more broadly, with a specific focus on the extent to which that research has been applied to India. We comment on what is generalizable and identify areas of needed research. We enrich this knowledge with our insights gained from focus groups with stakeholders in health, education, and policy in India.

Short Description:
'Decolonization and Justice: An Introductory Overview' emerged from the undergraduate students’ final assignment in JS-419 on Advanced Seminar in Criminal Justice at the University of Regina's Department of Justice Studies, Canada. This book focused on decolonization of multiple justice-related areas, such as policing, the court system, prison, restorative justice, and the studies of law and criminology. This is quite likely one of the few student-led book projects in Canada covering the range of decolonization topics. Ten student authors explored the concept of decolonization in law, policing, prison, court, mental health, transitional justice and restorative justice. We are grateful to receive funding support from the University of Regina’s OER Publishing Program Small Project Grant, which enabled us to hire a professional copy editor for the book.

The processes of conducting a deposition and developing strategies for being deposed or taking depositions are described in this module. The webpages herein reference to The Federal Rules of Evidence and excerpts from the actual depositions of various experts in the Woburn Toxic Trial including John Drobinski, George Pinder, John Guswa, and others. This module describes the setting for taking depositions, how attorneys slowly extract information from those being deposed, and the typical proceedings during deposition. This module can be a stand alone, but the information is best coupled with the modules where students prepare court exhibits to augment and display their technical arguments. This module stresses the need for clarity and parsimony when presenting technical arguments with opposing counsel.

This lesson plan, designed for high school art students, focuses on digital citizenship and intellectual property. Students demonstrate understanding and respect for the rights and obligations of using and sharing intellectual property (ISTE Standard: 1.2.c Intellectual Property) such as artwork from history. Students understand the legal consequences of appropriation, fair use, copyright, open source, social media, and creative commons as they apply to works of art and design (OAS Standard: I.VA.P.2.2 Production). Students explore available content online and curate an original piece of artwork inspired by a piece of artwork from the 20th century. Students understand the level of modifications that need to be made in order to avoid plagiarism. The lesson concludes with students completing a CFA and written response explaining the modifications they made to their work to avoid plagiarism.

This game is designed to test, reinforce, and enhance students' understanding of Disability Rights Law. I've used it in several different ways: as a game that students play in class, with a prize for the winning student or team (playing the game and discussing the correct answers takes about one hour of class time); as a closed-book quiz that students take in class, followed by discussion of the correct answers (again, about one hour of class time); and as an open-book assignment that students complete before class, followed by discussion of the correct answers in class (about 30 minutes of class time).
