Debbie, I am a user of the Psychology book and I was contacted about two months ago with a survey for the 2nd edition. OpenStax was looking for writers/editors/reviewers and the like. I don't know where they are in the process, but I would imagine that they might be considering what has just been implemented for AP Psychology by the College Board. I know that the authors of the 2019 Myers AP book now need to consolidate and rearrange some of its units. For instance, hypnosis is not going to show up on the AP exam... so no need to cover it in my classes except to explain why it was in States of Consciousness to begin with.
The person who contacted me about the 2nd edition was Alisha McCarthy, email address: amccarthy@wisewire.com.
The survey was here, although I don't know if the survey has closed yet as I received this mid-June.
