High School 21+ is a competency-based high school equivalency program for adult learners 21 and older who do not have a high school diploma or equivalency. Adults demonstrate competencies in reading, writing, and math, contextualized in science, history, government, occupational studies, and digital literacy. In addition to the eligibility requirements for ABE programs (adults at least 16 years old; students under 19 must be formally released from high school before enrolling), individuals must be at least 21 years of age (at the time of completion) and lack a high school diploma in order to participate in the HS 21+ program.er
