The Erasmus+ Teaching for a Sustainable Tomorrow project has emerged from a recognition of the continuing need to integrate the basic and transversal skills associated with 21st Century Learning (21CL) meaningfully into mainstream secondary education.
This project (http://tfast-project.eu/) brings together a total of 6 partner institutions in 5 different European countries, and 30 second-level teachers. The aim is to support educators in the development of 21st century teaching and learning practices (using the Bridge21 approach - http://bridge21.ie/) — to meaningfully integrate into their classrooms learning activities that are team-based, technology-mediated, project-based and cross curricular. Moreover, there is a particular focus on teaching and fostering appreciation of cultural diversity and creating awareness related to global sustainability issues among students in Europe.
