The American Translators Association is committed to promoting high standards in translator and interpreter training and to the development of translation and interpreting programs within the American educational system. The ATA Education and Pedagogy Committee was established to foster these Association goals.
The Committee is charged with the following:
- survey, monitor, and foster translation and interpreting programs offered in U.S. institutions of learning, including elementary, secondary, and post-secondary levels;
- report current trends, and inventory and develop resources for translator and interpreter training to the Board of Directors; and
- serve as a liaison with organizations with allied purposes.
