I would recommned using this task after feeling confident in your students' understanding of the properties of a parallelogram. While it could serve as a review, I think it is best suited as in introductory piece to get students to see how the properties have a trickle down effect to other quadrilaterals.

This seminar will allow you to solve a system of linear equations by graphing. It will help you to understand what it means when the lines in a system of equations are parallel, and also what it means for the graphs to be the same line. You will learn how to visually identify information about the system of equations simply by examining the graphs of the lines that make up the system.StandardsCC.2.2.HS.D.10Represent, solve, and interpret equations/inequalities and systems of equations/inequalities algebraically and graphically.

The 3 act math is a perfect way to incorporate the See-Think-Wonder activity. Dan Meyer is the originator of the 3 act math plays and the Pearson Envisions Math textbook incorporates one every Topic/Chapter. I am writing this lesson plan with the idea of using the Taco Cart 3 act math play. The link to the 3-act-math play is below.Taco Cart http://threeacts.mrmeyer.com/tacocart/
