In this activity students will get the opportunity to learn some Valentine's Day vocabulary and will be able to share and talk about a given prompt as well as personal stories. Students are given twitter excerpts about bad first dates, this allows them to explain a sequence of events by using different signs and classifiers.

For some reason, American literature (like French, Irish, and Russian, among others) has been especially productive in major works in fictional forms shorter than the novel. Our task in this course will be to survey that field, by looking at particular moments of high accomplishment. We will, in addition, consider some of the ways in which literary formulae can be used and varied, and some of the impacts of elements of narrative construction.

In this activity students will practice creating short narratives in Chinese by creating a mad-libs like story. Students will take turns picking cards from different categories to fit together in a short story. Students will then share their short story out loud. Students will also read invitations for different types of parties and answer comprehension questions.
