Calligraphy Qallam offers visitors information about the Arabic alphabet, various styles of scripts, and the process and history of calligraphy. It offers tutorial videos which demonstrate the various shapes of the Arabic characters both within one script and between different scripts. There is also a "script quiz" which allows visitors to test their ability to recognize different calligraphic scripts. The site also includes a blog and a forum where topics surrounding calligraphy are discussed.

Dunia fi Lubnan: An Online Arabic Interactive Storybook

“Dunia Fi Lubnan” is an online Arabic interactive storybook developed by Alefb multicultural center for children with support from Qatar Foundation International through a Curriculum Development grant.

The storybook is a fully illustrated interactive story, and includes interactive comprehension quiz questions prompted by "Nahla the bee" in English, playful drills to test reading, writing and comprehension, and cultural games from which the learner can accumulate points to earn a surprise gift from Alefb. The story of Dunia, stretched out over 22 fully illustrated pages, tells a tale about a young girl who tries to overcome her fear of speaking Arabic. Along the way, users are exposed to several interactive self-correcting drills, audio files, cultural authentic documents tackling a wide variety of learning topics based on the themes and lessons within Dunia's story. Animations, sounds, glossaries pages and English translation tools all provide helpful hints and aid the learner in staying engaged. “Dunia Fi Lubnan” is an integrated educational material in that it uses both Modern Standard Arabic, الفصحى and colloquial العامية.

The interactive and multimedia components are designed in part to enhance regular curricula for teaching Arabic as a foreign language to children, teens and even adults, individually or in a classroom setting.

When all of the modules are completed, learners will have acquired new vocabulary, reinforced their reading, writing and comprehension skills, and been exposed to different practices, products and perspectives of the Arabic culture. Learners will be able to write a simple postcard using vocabulary from the following topics: Greetings, Feelings, Activities, Countries and Places, Colors, Food, Things and Family/Friends.

This website from the University of Victoria is intended to teach individuals the basics of the Arabic alphabet, including the correct pronunciation of letters and words. The website is broken into consonants and vowels, listening and reading exercises, and dictation. Section include an introduction, examples, and exercises and tests to ensure proper learning. Short vowels are also introduced in these lessons. Letter keys are provided for those not on a computer that allows for typing in Arabic.

Part of a larger website concerning education, this set of Arabic quizzes are user generated and contain more than 30 quizzes. Arabic quizzes include topics such as vocabulary, letter sounds, the alphabet, and more. Quizzes are timed and scores can be recorded and kept track of. Registering allows users to create their own quizzes.

"Quizizz is a free tool. It works on any device: web browser, iOS, Android and Chrome apps. You can access hundreds of ready-made learning quizzes or create your own. Join as a teacher, pick a quiz, and use the code for a virtual room to give to your students."

The way you make a quiz, you host it and then you see them playing it on their mobile phones/tablets or laptops with the Scoreboard Seen Live on the Screen/Projector in the Class makes it a real happy classroom. The extra-edge comes with the Music that is being played by the App or the Website during the quiz.

The additional features about creating a quiz are more beneficial and good with the Quizizz. You can download an excel sheet from Quizizz and enter the questions as guided in this format. While using the desktop version, you can upload this .csv and the quiz is generated. Another excellent feature is to TELEPORT the questions from Pre-made quizzes. Click on teleport after cresting name of the quiz. On the right side of the screen you see that there are many quizzes opened and you can add a question to your quiz, just by clicking ADD.

Part of a larger website devoted to transliteration, this is an exam that tests the ability of the listener to hear the correct Arabic word in a phrase or sentence, and then choose the proper transliterated word via a multiple choice question. The exam keeps track of the number of words guessed correctly. Examples are taken from the Qur'an.
