This module is aimed at college freshmen, although it could be used with slightly older or slightly younger students.  Its purpose is to instruct students on the process of engaging with the kinds of text they are likely to encounter in their first year in college.  Included are an introduction that establishes a set of "rules" for reading text for main ideas and key concepts, a sample text drawn from an OER source, and a model of how to read the text.
