In this activity, the lab assistant will work as the waiter, and the students will be guests at a restaurant. In this activity, students will be able to explore different kinds of Middle Eastern special occasions in a Kahoot format.Can-Do Statements:I can understand the importance of celebrations in my own and in middle eastern cultures.I can use simple phrases and sentences to explain middle eastern special occasions.I can discuss my preferences.

In this activity, students will practice the names of different dishes from the Arabic menu. Briefly, they will also discuss some history of the differences in Arabic food culture.Can-Do Statements:I can understand the differences in services and dishes between restaurants in the Middle East.I know the food names at Arabic restaurants, including ordering vocabulary such as drinks, entrees, desserts..etc.

In this activity, students will practice writing some basic words that people usually use in their daily life as well as practice writing حروف المد الثلاثة.Can-Do Statements:I can understand the differences between long vowels.I can write words in Arabic using long vowels.I can understand when I should use long vowels and when I should not.
