Campaign satire predicting Whig presidential candidate William Henry Harrison's ascendancy over Democrat Martin Van Buren. In the center of the print is a mountain with a statue of George Washington, "Pater Patriae," on its pinnacle. Descending the mountain is incumbent President Jackson, portrayed as a snapping turtle. Van Buren is a snake, slithering out of a "Pool of Corruption" below as Harrison, an eagle, flies overhead. Jackson: "Here I go full of glory! Martin my boy look out for Harrison he'll be down upon you like an eagle." Van Buren: "What does the old snapper say. D--n Harrison he cant "crawl"1along as I can."
