In this activity, students will practice planning a date. Students will also familiarize themselves with how they participate in certain holidays and events.  

In this activity students will look through a series of brochures for tour trips to different cities in China. As a group, they will chose which cities they would like to go to which tours, and decide what modes of transportation they will take. They will then create a travel itinerary for their entire group.

In this activity students will help reinforce their knowledge and understanding of terminology for weather in Chinese by playing a weather charades game. Students will then prepare a weekend weather report for a Chinese city of their choice and use it to present a forecast to their classmates where they also suggest activities to do based on the weather!

This lab will introduce ASL students to having conversations with others. Students will learn how to properly ask and answer questions, as well as how to feel more comfortable in a conversational atmosphere. Students will also learn how to describe each other's responses.

This lab will introduce ASL students to name signs and how to use WHQ questions. Students will learn from a video and from conversing with others. Students will also learn how to ask a variety of different questions.

In this activity, students will use vocabulary describe what they eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Students will also be able to identify whether or not the meal is nutritious and healthy. Students will learn more about how to describe food and health. Students will also learn more about reading and understanding nutrition fact.

In this activity, students will play a bingo game in order to help practice recognizing radicals used in Chinese characters. Students will be shown a radical, and will then search for a vocabulary word that contains that radical. Students will also practice tones and pronunciation by reading out their winning vocabulary at the end of each round of bingo.

In this activity, students will be able to practice talking about technology. Students will also be able to practice talking to an employee to determine how to fix their product or obtaining a new one.

Students will have the opportunity to practice discussing the concept of time in American Sign Language and working through time conflicts in conversation. 

In this activity the lab assistant will work as the server and the students will be guests at a restaurant. The students will practice ordering food, discussing what is wrong with the food, and paying for their meal.

This lab will practice different skills learned throughout the semester through the use of a board game. The game is focused on Deaf culture, describing physical appearance, and the five parameters of signs. The students will play the game together and work on their communication skills throughout by answering and engaging with the game cards.

Students will start by listing as many words as they can regarding school, country, and food. They will then practice their vocabulary through a simple memory game with escalating difficulty.

In this activity, students will review concepts covered throughout the semester by answering questions in a Jeopardy game. The questions will involve translation, vocabulary, and some questions about Chinese Culture.

In this lab, students will listen to a conversation and identify the good and bad things about having a roommate. They will also attempt to find a roommate who has similar living habits and routines. 

Students will play a game regarding a wide variety of topics to further their conversation skills. Students will describe objects using descriptors to work on fingerspelling.

This activity is a review focusing on fingerspelling and vocabulary. There are predetermined categories provided, and both activities are done in teams/small groups. However, they can be adapted to individual work/whole class group.

In this activity, students will review by talking about food, health, and parties. Students will interview each other in Spanish about foods, health, culture, and parties. Students will learn how to ask and answer questions entirely in Spanish.

In this activity students will practice discussing and describing events in their daily lives. Students will build a daily schedule from an assortment of random events, and then describe their schedule to a group or partner. Students will practice using correct and accurate time phrases in Chinese.

In this activity, students get the chance to explore the possibility of deaf people needing service animals. The activity encourages conversation about important topics surrounding deaf individuals. Students will have the opportunity to converse unfamiliar topics and discuss potentially controversial topics.

In this activity, students will play a bingo game to review grammatical expressions they learned in lecture. Students will describe clothing items and color. They will also use correct expressions to state their guesses, such as "he seems angry."
