Global Citizens in Action is a civic engagement curriculum that focuses on cultural exchange, media literacy, and global citizenship. Through exploring the driving question, “How do we, as youth, engage our communities to create positive social change?”

Students will make personal connections to migration by exploring its impact on themselves and their families through research and interviews, resulting in a feature article on the theme of “My Personal Story of Migration.” This will encourage a “citizen of the world” mindset while developing positive identity awareness.

The Glyfada Method is a formula to help students write essays by focusing on the most difficult part of an assignment: getting started. This method helps the writer discover what their main points are and what they have to say about each main point.

Students collect protein electrophoresis data comparing goldenrod gall flies, analyze class data, and write a lab report in the format of a scientific paper.

This presentation introduces the idea of clutter in writing. It offers examples of what cluttered writing looks like, and how it can be cleaned up. Ideas come from Jeff Andersen's "10 Things Every Writer Needs to Know." This resource can be uploaded into Nearpod to offer a more interactive option.
