This handout serves as a prompt to help students create and complete an annotated outline for a literature review.
This is a project I assign my students in an introductory, non-science major astronomy class. Each student is assigned one of the 25 brightest stars in the sky and they are asked to research and apply concepts they have been learning in the class to their particular star. I leave it up to them to decide the format of their final project - most do PowerPoint but some have done videos or podcasts. One student actually landed a part time job at a radio station after they heard her recording her star project! Many students tell me this is a highlight of the course!

This class explores the four main attachment styles–secure, avoidant, resistant (ambivalent)
and disorganized–and how they impact our adult relationships. The lesson will utilize
mini-lectures to explain the four attachment styles and provide frameworks for improving
relationships based on attachment. Through interactive discussions and a case study activity,
students will build skills to assess their own attachment styles and strategies to improve their
relationships.

Each lesson begins with one or more YouTube tutorials and an exercise based on the tutorial content which can be saved for evaluation. It concludes with a final assessment which can be used to evaluate the user's ability to use the application.

Australian Aboriginal art is one of the oldest continuing art traditions in the world. Much of the most important knowledge of aboriginal society was conveyed through different kinds of storytelling—including narratives that were spoken, performed as dances or songs, and those that were painted. In this lesson students will learn about the Aboriginal storytelling tradition through the spoken word and through visual culture. They will have the opportunity to hear stories of the Dreamtime told by the Aboriginal people, as well as to investigate Aboriginal storytelling in contemporary dot paintings.
