"Theatre Appreciation Course Design" provides an introduction to the fundamental elements of theatre, covering topics such as the roles of actors, directors, playwrights, and designers, the relationship between the audience and performers, and the cultural significance of theatre.The course is divided into six modules that explore various aspects of theatre, including production roles, theatre genres, world theatre history, musical theatre, and contemporary trends.Through a combination of theoretical lessons, practical assignments, and critical analysis activities, students are guided to appreciate theatre's artistic, social, and historical value, while engaging with Open Educational Resources (OER) for enhanced learning.

How is our understanding of masculinity reflected in the interplay of Shakespeare's words and the way in which this production interprets the text? This course is designed around analyzing intimate bonds and the permutations of heartbreak. Through the analysis of a set of relations in novels, short stories, poetry, music videos, and live theatre, we will consider the transformative states of the lover’s (un)becoming, for how consciousness is constituted by bonds yet how the lover transcends crisis in the moment of the epiphany that surfaces in love’s very failure; indeed, love itself becomes narcissistically yet optimistically illuminating, even in its oppressive hold.

This means that it held relevance when Valdez wrote it, and it held relevance in relation to the original zoot suit riots that happened. This brings up the following questions:Is Zoot Suit relevant today?What would need to happen for Zoot Suit to be relevant only as a historical representation?Please write a 250 word response to each of these questions (500 words minium).
